MSB PhD Thesis Madness Lunch Event at MICCAI 2024
Are you a Ph.D. student nearing the completion of your thesis or a recent graduate eager to share your research?
The MICCAI Student Board is excited to host its annual Thesis Madness event during the MICCAI conference at Marrakkech!
This is a fantastic opportunity present your Ph.D. thesis to the MICCAI community during a dedicated lunch event. You'll have a chance to get your research recognized and connect with fellow researchers from academia and industry in the field. Your presentation will be recorded and published online on all MSB social media for a broader audience.
Event Details
- Format: Participants will present their thesis during a dedicated in-person lunch event. Lunch will be provided on-site.
- Audience: Expert researchers from academia and industry will be in attendance.
- Awards:
The top three presentations will receive cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100, respectively, along with certificates.
Eligibility
Open to final-year Ph.D. students or recent graduates (within 12 months of thesis submission) who are working on topics that are relevant to MICCAI.
Presentation Format
- Each participant will have a fast-paced, 3-minute slot to present their thesis.
- Focus on the core aspects, key findings, and their significance to the MICCAI community.
Important Dates
- Call for Abstracts Opens: August 05th, 2024
- Application Deadline:
August 30th, 2024 - Notification of Acceptance: September 06th, 2024
Application Process
Submit your application by August 30th through the OpenReview submission portal. The application form requires:- Your full name, email address, affiliation, and (expected) graduation date.
- A concise abstract of your thesis (300 words or less).
- A brief explanation (100 words or less) highlighting the importance of your work for the MICCAI field.
